Momma – I Want You (Fever)

Momma – I Want You (Fever)

Following their 2022 album “Household Name” and 2023’s “Bang Bang,” the Brooklyn band has apparently decided that their signature ’90s alt-rock sound needed a dash of dream pop. The result? A faster, more electronic-infused track that feels like stumbling into a fever dream at a vintage record store.
In what might be the most refreshingly honest statement about artistic evolution, Momma admits this song was so good they literally threw away everything else they’d written. It’s about wanting someone who’s already taken, but with enough self-awareness to make it feel less like home-wrecking and more like cosmic inevitability.
The track represents a shift in their creative direction that it prompted a complete album reset – proof that sometimes the best way to move forward is to ctrl+alt+delete your previous work.
